This baby blanket pattern was created to celebrate the birth of my niece, Savannah. I wanted to make her a lovely, lightweight baby blanket which was large enough to hang over the top of her stroller or carrier to protect her from the sun and still allow air to move through. Summer babies need blankets too!

This blanket is easy to crochet. It uses beginner crochet stitches; just single crochet (sc), double crochet (dc) and chain stitches. Even the ruffled edging is simple to add to your blanket.
